MY EXPERIENCE
My role was marketing intern at Andy Family. My missions revolved around marketing and how to better sell products. I took care of adding new toys to the website and satisfying clients with good customer service.
First, my missions :

- uploading toys on the website
- talking to clients via Messenger
- writing descriptions for toys
- ask for sending labels for packages
- make quotations for clients
- evaluate if the toys we received can be sold
Now here are the skills I learned :

When in need of new interesting toys and a wide range of choices for the parents shopping our website, I was in charge of uploading toys. To add a toy, I needed to gather all the important information about the product online (age, dimensions, description, price etc). I filled an excel with all this data and used it to complete the toy's page. With a good organisation and structure, the result was that the toys were in the website and presented to attract the client. The skills I got from this mission were data gathering, excel experience and marketing oriented thinking.

When we would received messages, I will talk to clients on Messenger to answer their questions, guide them to sell and send a product, to send them a quotation or explain and promote the website. This task helped me take time, show empathy and put myself in the shoes of the clients to better answer them. It also helped me develop my writing skills when chatting with someone through messages because I needed to pass on certain intentions through a screen.

The descriptions of toys I wrote would be needed when toys will arrived and we would want them to be on the website. I would go online, look for dimensions, weight, age restrictions, prices, descriptions, brand and product names to have the more details possible on a toy. With these information, I would create attractive and complete toys' pages on the website. I learned to be precise and efficient in my writing but also to put myself in the shoes of the buyers that will need good pictures and accurate information on a product.

In the database of our website, there would be a list of all of the clients' demands for a sending label for their packages to send. I will note all of them and share them to another intern for her to find the labels. This task I did was daily and essential to the business. The result was satisfied clients that will receive their sending labels and send us their toys via mail. What I learned with this mission was to be quick to send the demands.

Before deciding to send toys, clients would often ask us quotations of the toys they were willing to sell. I would look for these toys' information online, look for the price, write our buy-back price and do a table for the quotation. Once the estimate was made, I would send it to the client via Messenger. The skill I learned was to be quick and accurate to make the quotation and send it to the client.

When receiving the toys, our team will need to go through the toys and mark if they were able to be for sale or not. The criterias were strict but necessary to be able to provide good quality products to our customers. The price, the look, the sellability and the interest of the toys were some of the criterias. After looking to all the toys and sorting them out, we will put them in an excel to be ready to upload them on the website. The result was a clear and precise list of all the toys we would be selling and the skills I gained were patience, fairness and group work.
